I’m real interested in this program or I should say opportunity but I’m worried about the costs involved that aren’t the initial upfront cost.

I know on some other websites you have to push hard on advertising and marketing and web hosting and all that stuff just to get the ball rolling. What is the average cost to get this thing totally rolling?

Also, I’m looking to make around an extra 200-300 a week with this thing. Is that a reasonable number to start out?? Or does that take very long to do? If you could answer these questions that would be great! Thanks for your help……..

Hi Chris

There are many, many ways that you can legitimately make money online. I can give you my ideas and thoughts on processes that I have proven to work in my own business.

I have very profitable niche websites as well ‘work at home’ sites like freeadvertz.com.

In terms of costs, my blog set up that would cost you $134. That’s your website costs covered for one year. If you decided you wanted an email capture form on your site, you’d need to open a Getresponse account. This can be as little as $18 per month. There are no hidden costs in that set up.

Although I don’t recommend it, you could build traffic to your site and reach your goal, by blogging, and only using FREE marketing methods.

Look, you could send 1000s of visitors to your site every month by making Youtube videos and linking back to your website. Everything depends on how hard you work and how enthusiastically you pursue your goals. This strategy wouldn’t cost you a dime. Many are video marketing on Youtube, very successfully – even newcomers.

Advertising costs are costs that you would need to personally consider. You can spend as little or as much as you like.

With a careful plan you could realistically reach your goal within 3 months.

There are a number of ways you can proceed.

If you join My World Plus team then you would need to sell around 1 membership per day to reach your goal, within a month or two.

1. Set out a plan of action – Grab a notepad and pen OR open a notepad file on your PC, but DO put down in writing how you plan to proceed.

That plan should start with getting your own website online. Everything else stems from there. This is what I did, what everyone I know who has been successful has done. That’s why I recommend it as a starting point.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE OUTCOME OF YOUR PLAN BEFORE MAKING A START – TAKE ACTION! – That’s extremely important to remember.

2. Decide what topic/market you are going to base your site on – If you choose to promote My World Plus or any other MLM/Work at Home opportunity, then you need to be even more careful about choosing your keywords below, because there are 1000s of other experienced marketer pursuing many of the top keyword phrases.

Ideally, you should choose something you are passionate about. It will be much easier to write about if you know at least a little about the topic – or better still a lot about it.

You don’t have to write your own content, though. You can pay someone to write your blog content, but you’ll need to factor this into your costs. I can give you a couple of contacts of people who can write content for you for around $10 per article.

Most importantly when choosing a niche, is finding a market where people are actually buying, and with a significant number of searches online.

We already know that there is a vast market for work at home opportunities. People are spending millions of dollars worth of products and services in this area, every month PLUS there is a bountiful supply of prospects, searching for such opportunities.

Here’s basic tip: Go to Magazines.com Have a look at the different magazine titles. If there is a magazine on any given topic topic then people ARE buying in this market.

Then, check Google’s keyword tool for an approximate number of searches for related keyword phrases for any niche you are interested in.

3. Discover Your Keyword Phrases - Next, head over the Wordtracker and read everything you can on choice of keywords – especially ‘long-tail’ keyword phrases. There are some great articles there. Whether you enter a very competitive market like the ‘work at home’ field or less known markets, the correct choice of keyword phrases to target, is crucial.

You could realistically have targeted traffic coming to your site within a week or two IF you choose the right keyword phrases. So when formulating a plan, keyword research is vitally important.

Here’s an ebook that will cover everything you need to know about niches. There ARE better ebooks out there but this one’s FREE and will cover the basics, help you get the gist of niche markets, and help you work on a plan of action:

4. Start blogging consistently – Once you have your site online and your keyword phrases chosen. The more original blog posts you have published the more traffic you will get. You take some of those keyword phrases and incorporate them into your blog post titles and content.

5. Build backlinks - This is also a crucial part of your business for long term growth. Basically, the greater number of quality links you have linking back to your site the more weight your pages will have on Google and the other major search engines.

6. Rinse and repeat the above – Keywords – Blog – Backlinks.

I don’t expect you to take all this in at once. Nor, is it meant to be a comprehensive plan. The above is basically what you need to do to build any business online. Now, it’s up to you to do the research and formulate your plan of ACTION.

I honestly believe many people continue to buy one product after another, because they consciously or subconsciously believe, they will find a magic bullet, and won’t actually have to do the work involved. I just received an email from a downline member who I can tell is extremely enthused about beginning their new home business.

This is great to see. I sincerely hope that her energy and excitement continues, and that she achieves her dreams and goals.

I have absolutely NO DOUBT that anyone who sets their minds to achieving a full-time income online can do it – IF they set out a plan and follow it persistently for as long as it takes.

If you look at it rationally you will quickly come to the conclusion that only YOU can determine whether you fail or not – by giving up. If you don’t give up you’ll eventually find success. You may not get there as quickly as you like but you’ll get there eventually provided you don’t leave this earth beforehand .

The lady who emailed me has a husband and young son. I can tell that she wants the best for them. That ‘best’ includes the dream of being able to work entirely from home and even take her laptop on the road, earning while she spends quality time with her family. Again, this is an achievable dream and she will get there if she takes on board some simple ideas…

Now, let me try to help those of you thinking of starting an Internet business get the gist of these ‘simple ideas’ –

The VAST majority of newcomers online fail because they fail to plan out their business or come with unrealistic expectations. They want everything too soon. They read the HYPE and BS online and believe what they read.

Do you know that I started earning a few dollars per month online in 1998 and wasn’t able to give up my offline job until 2004? I also spent $1000s in the process. I maxed out more than one credit card but I was so convinced that I could make a living online that I refused to give up.

This isn’t only my story but the story of countless other Internet marketers - many of whom are now making a fortune online today.

The ones who are still in the day job – probably telling others that the net is full of scams – are the ones who decided to give up and didn’t formulate a plan.

Many of the programs I promote have the potential to make you a lot of money online. They set out a process which you must follow in order to achieve certain goals. Buying a course and downloading the plan is only the first step. You’ve taken action! Now what?

Most every online course has the potential to break your credit card and YOU – if you don’t set out a plan.

The majority of Internet marketers will followup with emails after you join their customer list, encouraging you to sign up for other products and services. This is what Internet marketers do. They up-sell other stuff once they get you on board. This goes for free programs or those you have to pay for. Once you join their email list you can expect to receive offers.

Why do you think there are so many free offers online. You think it’s because Internet marketers are just sweet guys and gals who want to give away their products? Yeah, and the tooth fairy will leave money under your pillow every night too if you just keep pulling those teeth out.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH UPSELLING! It is not illegal nor unethical to send further offers to prospects or customers. It’s just business to these guys! I do it myself!

It is your job as a person with a plan to resist buying everything you are offered. I write this because the most common complaint I see in my inbox and on online forums, is that eager newcomers have spent $1000s and have nothing to show for it.

Do you have a budget? This is a BIG part of your plan. Let’s say you set aside $100 or $200 every month to buy products and services to grow your online business. You MUST resist all temptations to go over this budget. Your budget may be more or less the example above, you decide.

If you determine an affordable budget and keep making positive progress every month then you CANNOT fail.

Now let’s say you set a budget of $100 and end of spending $500. What do you think is gonna happen? Well, first of all you are going to be extremely annoyed at yourself, and maybe your spouse will be too. If you have used a credit card then you can add some interest(On the $500). The sum of the interest is going to have to be deducted from next months budget.

Secondly, you are going to start to get discouraged. You will start telling yourself that this business isn’t for you. Or worse, you will get bitter at those who sold you the product or service, failing to see that YOU made the decision to go over budget.

Before long you will have made so many excuses to yourself that you will just pack it in one day.

If you have set an affordable amount that you can comfortably spend every month, then you can go on forever and maybe even have some fun doing so. At some stage you will earn more than the budget you have set and so can put some of your profits back into your business.

You will also discover that your marketing resources grow through time. More marketing tools give you a better chance to achieve your financial goals – especially if you own automated software, which will save you time allowing you to concentrate on other areas of your business.

SET YOUR MONTHLY BUDGET AND STICK TO IT!

Another part of your plan should be to set a time to devote to your new business. It is especially evident in newcomers. They want to know everything at once. I was this way myself, so I know how it is.

If you spend 18 hours per day online everyday trying to digest everything that comes into your email inbox, then you will end up with nothing but confusion and a sore head . If you have been online for a while and have tried too hard at the beginning then you will know what I’m talking about.

Take it easy! In time you will learn exactly how Internet marketing works. You may even have a few great ideas of your own to grow your business. So, when you find yourself getting frustrated – reach for the ‘off’ button or close over that laptop.

Set a reasonable amount of time to spend online daily - especially if you have a family.

Once you have planned your time and money carefully and according to your situation then the rest is in the details.

What should you spend your time and money on? There is an ebook or two in answering that question – the web is full of them. You can find many resources, articles and ideas throughout this site. I am also available to answer your questions.

I suggest you find someone you can trust – a mentor – and follow their lead. There are many reputable Internet marketers online who cut through all the BS and tell it like it is. One thing about finding a mentor – if you are going to want their personal attention then it will cost you. Time IS money. It’s much cheaper to read what they have written and/or scrutinize their work.

No matter who you find though – even if they are a marketing genius and give you their flawless plan of action – the determining factor in your success or failure will be YOU and YOUR plan.

With a set plan to budget your time and money in hand you then need to formulate a plan for daily action. What do you plan to do to build your business every day?

Your daily marketing plan should contain at least a few of the examples below:

1. Write a blog post and publish it.

2. Write an article and submit it to the article directories.

3. Answer emails from interested site visitors or subscribers.

4. Submit your site or blog posts to social bookmark and other Web 2.0 sites.

5. Update and/or tweak your site design for better conversions.

6. Check your web stats and track any progress you have made.

7. Email your subscriber list, if you have one.

8. Build a number of back links to your site – 10, 20 or more daily.

This is just a short list of what you can do daily to help grow your business.

Any plan begins by taking the first step. You won’t know exactly what to do until you actually start doing it.

Looking at the steps above some people will find that they are turned off because they don’t actually want to work to achieve success. They want, but will never achieve, instant riches!

Many others though, will be enthused to get started. It’s people like you that I address. It’s people like you that WILL succeed in the end because you set out YOUR plan and work towards your goals on a daily basis.

I don’t think I understand this whole concept, could you narrow it down for me? What exactly do I have to do and why? Do I have to pay for anything? How will I make money out of this? If I do make money is it you that puts it in an account for me? How does this all work?

This is a very good question as the majority of newcomers arriving at a site like mine, detailing Internet home businesses, haven’t really got a clue what it’s all about.

Let me break the question down into sections as there is a lot to cover:

What exactly do I have to do and why?

That depends on what you want to achieve. Working from home online can be something you do part-time to make a few extra dollars, or as a full-time endeavour as it is for me.

If you want to make extra income then you would need to take action. I wouldn’t expect anyone to do that without at least some info. It’s important to remember though that you could continue to read online for the rest of your life and never take a step forward.

The simplest thing you can do to get started is register a domain name(This is your business name, ie. malkeenan.com) and hosting account(This is the web server that hosts your website). You can get a domain name for around $8 per year and domain hosting for as little as $5 per month.

Once you have a website then you need to add some content. If you set a website up based on your interests then it will be easy to write content for this. Plus, you can find loads of content online with publishing rights that allow you to post it on your site.

How will I make money out of this?

There are literally 100s of legitimate ways to make money online and 1000s of different companies. For instance, you’ve heard of Google, right? Well Google will pay you dollars for putting their advertisers’ ads on your site and it doesn’t matter what the site is about.

So, if you were to set a site up and write about your favourite hobby you could put Google ads on it. You get paid every time someone clicks on the link on your site. Google matches the ads to the content on your site, so that more people click through.

So, online advertisers pay Google for ad space and Google give you a % of that revenue, if you put their ads on your site. Google’s partner program is Google Adsense, if you want to find out more about this.

Another way you can get started is in ‘affiliate marketing’. I am an affiliate marketer. That means I sell other people products and they pay me a % of whatever I sell. The product or service owners take care of the product delivery and after sales support. All I have to do is refer visitors to a special site they set up for me, identical to their own sales page, BUT tagged with my affiliate ID.

That way, they can track sales referred by me. They send me a check each month for all the sales I make. Some affiliate programs will give me as much as 75% of the total sale just for referring people to their sales page.

Most companies that sell products online have an affiliate program. Amazon.com have one of the biggest. You can find affiliate programs for products relating to 1000s of different topics. So you can set a site up on anything you like and sell other peoples’ products from this site for a commission.

Clickbank is probably the best place online to find products and services that you can sell as an agent or affiliate. You can get a free account here.

Once you have progressed online you may want to create your own product but I wouldn’t worry about that yet. It is also possible to sell resale right products. These are products that product owners have given you or sold you the rights to sell. Many of the products I sell are resale rights products.

I have never created my own product for sale yet. I make a full-time income from home and $1000s per month.

Do I have to pay for anything?

You could make money online without spending a cent BUT, what you don’t spend in cash you will pay in time.

For instance, if you had a site you could write an article and submit it to many article databases by hand in order to promote it. This would work! You would get exposure for your site and if you do it often enough you would get lots of search engine visitors.

I prefer to pay $37 per month for a service called Submit Your Article that will send to 100s of databases for me. Understand?

Affiliate programs will also give you a website free of charge with which you can promote their products. You could promote this site all over the net though and if the company goes bust all your work will be in vain.

That’s why I always recommend you get your own site. You can still promote affiliate products but you will promote your own business primarily and any sales of the affiliate products will come through your own site.

I personally would not recommend anyone to go the free route. Online business, like any business requires investment. So, I ask you, would you expect to setup a business offline without spending money? Well, online business is similar although the start up investment is much, much lower.

If I do make money is it you that puts it in an account for me?

If you do make money through ‘affiliate marketing’(discussed above), then the product owners of the products or services you sell will send you a check at the end of every month or sooner.

Some product owners also pay through Paypal.com, which is an online bank account. With Paypal you get paid to the online account and then can transfer the money to your own bank account.

Other companies, usually just the very large ones, will pay straight to your bank account.

Any money I make through Google Adsense(also mentioned above) is paid straight to my bank account by Google.

If you were selling your own products or services you can set up order links through Paypal.com which will allow people to pay you straight to this account. Again Clickbank.com, is another option, which take orders from your affiliate sales – then pays you and the merchant – after taking a small %.

How Does all This Work?

Well I believe I have explained that above. It’s a start anyhow.
