It is utterly ridiculous for anyone to expect someone ( especially someone who doesn't know you personally ) to pay your way into any kind of business. Duh...Just what was this Debbie thinking? I have seen ads where people were offering prospects deals like this: Sign up for a plug in profit site through this link ( or anything else ) and I will pay for your subscription fees for certain months down the road in various programs. etc. This is different now..I figured how much money this person would have earned in commissions from the new sign-ups in that amount of elapsed time and the person could have done that and still made a profit. I considered that a fairly good advertising strategy as it may have encouraged people to join who may not have otherwise. It was based on people proving that they were going to stick with it and make a success of it before financial assistance was given, rather than just throwing their money away to anyone who may or may not even try to succeed.
