I have been running a full-time home based business since 2004 and have been working part-time online from 2000.
It has been a long hard struggle and may times I thought about jacking it in.
My first big break came when I decided to actually set up my own website. Without a doubt I would have gotten nowhere had I not initially set up my own place(So to speak).
I wanted a place where I could list all the things I was involved in and somewhere to encourage others to come on board with my business or to look at some of my recommended products or services. Just like I’m doing here really!!
It doesn’t matter what business you’re in. If you want to make it successful online then at some stage you WILL have to get your own site.
I was a steep learning curve. I actually had to go out and buy a book on HTML coding. I learnt the basics and believe me if you saw my first websites you’ll quickly deduce that I DEFINITELY only knew the basics;).
Thankfully today my websites look a LOT, LOT better and infinitely more professional.
Today, my favorite past-time and business building strategy is blogging. I LOVE It! I get to write about the things I have a passion for AND make money too.
Blogging is simply a REALLY simple way to publish content online that I have found to also be extremely effective in drawing targeted visitors to my business from the search engines.
Anyone can blog as long as they can type on a keyboard. If you’re online you’re already doing that anyhow. Not everyone can set up a blog NOR market it online. That’s where I come in and help out.
