My AMAZING Home Based Business

What I do find absolutely astounding about my work at home business is just how automated it has become.

It’s actually a dream come true. I am not a millionaire but the fact that I can make a great income from home without having to actually be present as the money comes in is still a fantastic testament to how AMAZING the internet is.

I cannot see how this would have been possible before the dawn of the WWW. Sure, people have a lot of freedom in offline business now and in the past but it has usually been achieved by having others work for them, doing the hard graft on their behalf.

What makes my automated enterprise all the more amazing is that I don’t have any employees.

The nature of my business is such that everything is automated from the followup process to the sale down to the check arriving in my mailbox. The only thing I have to do is cash the check. No, hold on, in fact, many times I don’t even have to do that. A lot of the affiliate programs which I am an agent send me Paypal payment and with a click or two of my mouse Paypal will deposit the money earned straight into my bank account. How’s that for automation?

How EXACTLY does this automation work?

My websites are online 24 hrs per day. The search engines send visitors to my site. Most don’t buy immediately but a % will add themselves to one of my mailing lsit. This add their details to an automated followup email system which will email them periodically with more information about work at home business and how they can get started.

Sooner or later the prospect will signup for my business, product or service. The product or service owner is then paid. From that payment they calculate my commissions and send the payment via check or to my paypal account.

Help Starting a Home Business

For the purposes of this blog post I am going to show how easy it is getting top ranking for keyword phrases that have little competition in the search engines.

The keyword I have chosen for this purpose is the term ‘help starting a home business’. The actual term was ‘help starting a business’ but I have added ‘home’ into the equation because that is the field that we work in.

Choosing the right keywords is a very important aspect of setting up any online business. You may think that such terms will have little or no traffic. It’s true that they may get little traffic but if they are appearing in the list of search terms that you have queried through certain keyword utilities then someone is searching google and the other major SEs using these phrases.

At this point I am just writing a blog post and already I have used the main keyword phrase, ‘help starting a home business’ a couple of times. You may also want to add variations of the keyword phrase like, ‘help getting started online’.

I copy the keywords into the tags fields at the bottom of my posts because I use a tool called Auto Social Poster to automatically post each of my blog articles to over 30 Social Bookmarking sites using the tags I put in the tag fields.

It also adds weight to your keyword phrases by adding bolding to your phrases as I have just done.

I usually write a blog post of between 400-600 words.

It has to be said that this strategy will not work on a brand new blog. You have to have already added some unique content to your blog over a period of around 1-2 months. I have used this strategy on blogs as little as 4 weeks old and have seen results.

I am confident that I will see a top ranking in the major search engines for this keyword phrase ‘help starting a home business’ in as little as 2-3 days.

There is only one EVER reason I see that people fail to make a success of their online home businesses and that is that they GIVE UP!

Why is this and more importantly what can be done to stop it?

I think one of the main reasons that they give up is that they come into this business with unrealistic ideas of what it takes to succeed. They believe the hype that they read on the net and they fall for the dream. Like the saying I heard recently ‘The American dream, you have to be asleep to believe it!’ Think about it!

In defence of copywriters all over the world, if the sales pages of the latest info product didn’t contain hyped up langauage then likely very few people would purchase. That’s sad but true!

Most web surfers looking for a new home business are fascinated by the idea of overnight riches. The copywriters know this. So, they use language that triggers certain emotions that has you reaching for your wallet or checkbook.

Of course the reality if mostly way off the expectations in the newcomers’ mind. So, inevitably when the instant riches fail to materialise the disillusioned, wannabe work at home entrepreneur, moves on to the next latest super duper system that is going to make their fortune. And so it goes until they finally give up in total disgust and bitterness - for some at least.

Starting up a small business online is achievable even for the newest of internet, burgeoning entrepreneurs.

My experience dictates that your small home business is going to take at least a little cash investment to get ahead. This should not come as a surprise. If you were going to setup a business offline you would spend at least a few thousand dollars.

The good news is that in a few weeks or months you could be well on your way to making a full-time income from the comfort of your own living-room.

Online Business Opportunities

Everyone wants to be rich! What’s more they don’t want to take anytime getting there nor spend any money either. This is the basic mindset of many people searching for an online work at home business.

Are you one of them? Have you fallen for the hype? Or are you interested in setting up a serious online business? I seincerely hope you come from the latter group and not the former.

Setting up and running a successful home business is a SERIOUS undertaking, just like any business, and should be treated as such. No point getting involved if you don’t respect what you are about to do.

Seriously though, an internet business is a lot easier and less complicated PLUS will cost a fraction of what you would spend offline to set up BUT it does take time and effort. And shock, horror, if you really want to get ahead you need to invest some money too
