Legitimate Work at Home Businesses

Given the amount of dodgy business opportunities on the net it is no surprise that most newcomers to online business are very reluctant to give their time and cash to a venture that may turn out to be one big SCAM.

It is important that you do your due diligence - in plain English that means do your research - before signing up for any work at home opportunities on the internet. There are many free opportunties that you can try for free but I certainly would caution agaisnt EVER giving your credit card details before properly checking out what it is you are joining.

One easy way to do this is by doing a quick search on Google for your new work from home business and surveying the results for any signs that it may be a scam. There are also loads of home based business discussion forums where you can find the latest scams and genuine internet business opportunties. Scammers don’t usually last for long before being found out. Once they are, they will be widely exposed in online discussion boards and forums.

It is also a good idea to go with a work at home business that has been around for a while. These businesses are less likely to go bust or disappear, than would a brand new enterprise.

Most new businesses fail within the first 3 years so if the opportunity has survived beyond that point you can be fairly certain that ther are plenty of satisfied customers.

I have been working online since 1998 and finally left my offline job to do this full-time in 2004. I have seen my fair share of scamsters but I have to say that there are more legitimate businesses out there than those looking to take your money and run.

Leisure Audiobooks Review

Every once in a while a great home business comes along and the one I am setting out to review today is certainly one of them.

I recently became a member of Leisure Audiobooks, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is a free signup so I had nothing to lose by checking it out.

I always proceed by checking the product first. There are too many home business opportunities out there with crappy products so I usually go there first.

The latest ideas coming from the home business fraternity have brought a flurry of information ebooks all promising to bring instant riches for anyone fortunate to part with their cash to buy them.

Any that I have purchased or have had the pleasure to review for free have contained some great info and certainly the seeds of a plan to be successful online..

Top 10 Home Based Businesses

One of my team members recently asked me to compile a list of my top ten most popular and successful work at home businesses and I have to be honest I was not able to. Why?

Well, I tend to only give advice or recommendations when I have direct experience in that which I am recommending. With hand on heart I have not been involved with 10 home businesses that I would feel comfortable recommending others to join.

Starting up a small business online is achievable even for the newest of internet, burgeoning entrepreneurs.

The first question always has to be “How bad do you want to succeed?“. The amount of desire you have to achieve your goals will determine ultimately if you are successful online.

Work at Home Ideas

There are many ways to get started online with your own home business. I wouldn’t dream of giving your info or advice on ideas that I do not have personal experience in. I could easily grab info from other sites and compile it here and although useful, it would not be worth half as much as someone offering unique and personal experiences of operating a successful home based business.

I wish I had someone to guide me when I first logged in to the net and searched for a genuine home business.

Unfortunately there are too many scams out there and online businesses that just don’t cut it when it comes to legitimacy and ability to produce a stable online income.

My experience relates to affiliate marketing, which is the business I have been involved in for over 8 years online. I have been working full-time from home since 2004.

Affiliate marketing is basically selling other business owners products for a cut of the sale. I get mailed checks every month from various online companies, for selling their products and services.

This is the most rewarding business I can think of to get involved in and also the least burdensome. When you are involved in affiliate marketing you don’t need to worry about delivering the product to the buyer nor the hassle of online support after the sale is made. This is all taken care of by the product owner.

You only job is to send visitors to the products sales page, tagged with your own affiliate id of course, and collect your monthly check.

This is the easiest way for any new beginner to get started. You don’t need your own product, or even a way to take payments. All this is taken care of for you.

What is a genuine home business?

From my experience, a home based business that you can be comfortable putting your time and effort into is one that is established, has a proven track record of making people successful and pays on time, every time.

There are loads of ways to check work at home businesses out online. You can just Google your search query, for instance “Legitimate Home Business” and check out the reviews and information that you get back.

Another useful way to check out work at home jobs is by visiting online discussion forums.

I have been working online since 1998 and I have researched many businesses. The one that I settled with I have been working since 2002. So, it took me a while and a lot of trial and error, spending $1000s just to find one that I could believe in.

The main thing to remember is that no matter how great the home employment business is you find, you WILL still need to do some work. Too many people come online and expect to get paid for nothing. Believe me, this is a pipe dream.

The rewards of running a serious home business are numerous but I did have to do some work to get to where I am today.
