Of course the reality if mostly way off the expectations in the newcomers’ mind. So, inevitably when the instant riches fail to materialise the disillusioned, wannabe work at home entrepreneur, moves on to the next latest super duper system that is going to make their fortune. And so it goes until they finally give up in total disgust and bitterness - for some at least.

I cannot think of any better way to get started with a home business than by joining and marketing affiliate programs. Ok, I may be a little biased because this is how I make my living but I believe that anyone honestly searching to establish a credible business online will find affiliate marketing very attractive.

There is nothing better than coming back from holiday and finding checks in your mailbox that have been made while you basked in the sun. This has happened to me on a number of occasions and is not just hype.

Think about it! Your marketing, through having your own website or otherwise, is out there in cyberspace, viewable 24/7 365 days per year. It sells whether you are there or not.

Don’t mistake this for a get rich quick scheme. That, it is not. There is some initial work to be done and you do need to put in some time daily to maintain your business BUT the freedom that this business affords me is unimaginable.

For a start, I don’t have to leave my home to make my living. I can also take my laptop to virtually any country in the world that has an internet connection and make money. It was this concept that initially attracted me to making money online and empowered me to NEVER give up until I have found success.

My idea for a home based business started way back in 1998 when I discovered that it was ACTUALLY possible to make money online. Before that it would never have crossed my mind to set up my own small business online.

The purpose of my blog and this post is to inform you that it is entirely possible for the average person to setup their own, genuine work at home business that will surpass and exceed their current income. I am an average guy and I’m doing it so that should be proof enough

Of course you shouldn’t listen only to me but do your own research. Through doing this you willfind that there are many thousands of ordinary Joes and Sallys in the U.S, U.K and indeed throughout the world earning a residual monthly income from the comfort of their own homes.

So if you have the notion to get started with your own part-time or full-time work at home job then there should be no stopping you. Treat your new enterprise and a serious undertaking, just like you would an offline business.

I am engaged in a bona-fide business. This takes time, work and yes - investment . If someone tells you that you are going to make $1000s and it won’t cost you a penny then run a mile. Given the amount of dodgy business opportunities on the net it is no surprise that most newcomers to online business are very reluctant to give their time and cash to a venture that may turn out to be one big SCAM.

Scammers don’t usually last for long before being found out. Once they are, they will be widely exposed in online discussion boards and forums.

It is also a good idea to go with a work at home business that has been around for a while. These businesses are less likely to go bust or disappear, than would a brand new enterprise.

Most new businesses fail within the first 3 years so if the opportunity has survived beyond that point you can be fairly certain that ther are plenty of satisfied customers.

I have been working online since 1998 and finally left my offline job to do this full-time in 2004. I have seen my fair share of scamsters but I have to say that there are more legitimate businesses out there than those looking to take your money and run.

Leisure Audiobooks Review

Every once in a while a great home business comes along and the one I am setting out to review today is certainly one of them.

I recently became a member of Leisure Audiobooks, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.

This is a free signup so I had nothing to lose by checking it out.

I always proceed by checking the product first. There are too many home business opportunities out there with crappy products so I usually go there first.

This program leads with a product that every household in the developed world can use or at least one member of the family will use. If you have read any of my posts before then you will see that I am always going on about how important it is to lead with a quality product.

It’s not just about quality though. Is the product marketable. Is there a market for the product? With Leisure Audio Books there most certainly is!

This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never seen before, and I believe it to be revolutionary, and I’ll explain why.
