Using Smaller Online Auction Sites to Make Profit on Larger Auction sites.

Friday, June 30th, 2006

A lot of auction sellers seem to be missing out on untapped merchandise to sell for profit. They seem to be forgetting the smaller online auction sites out there.  There are literally 100’s if not 1,000’s of smaller online auction sites out there.

A lot of auction sellers seem to be missing out on untapped merchandise to sell for profit. They seem to be forgetting the smaller online auction sites out there.  There are literally 100’s if not 1,000’s of smaller online auction sites out there such as http://coolbidz.com or http://auctionfire.com with tens of thousands of articles for sale.

The best part of it is that most of the auctions on the smaller sites tend to sell for much less than they would on eBay or Yahoo Auctions allowing you to buy then sell for higher profits on bigger sites.

Example: A friend of mine recently bought a bubble jet printer on http://www.coolbidz.com for only $25 that was the starting bid and fortunately for him there were no more bidders. He paid for the item and he asked the seller if he could hold on to it for a few days before shipping. He then listed the item on Bay and re-sold it for $78 a profit of $53. He then contacted the original seller and asked him to deliver it to the address of his eBay buyer, cleverly saving him time, money and the effort of posting the item.

A total of $53 profit for doing nothing but acting as the middle man.

A lot of these smaller sites have sellers listing  wholesale items for far less than the bigger auction sites.

Also, many people don’t have credit cards or don’t agree with the high charges incurred on the bigger sites so only use the free auction sites such as www.coolbidz.com etc..

Check out the niche auction sites, there are many bargains to be had there which can be turned into profit.

I advice you to visit these smaller online auction sites, see what is listed and what they are selling forFree Reprint Articles, then comparing them to the bigger sites.

Making money on auction sites is great fun but making money for nothing is better

Good Luck

Good Landing Page Design Tips

What is a landing page

That’s been a lot of talk about landing page these days. So, what’s a landing page? It’s the page your website visitor arrived at after clicking a link. The link could be on any page on your website or pay per click advertising or banner ads or keyword search.

The goal of landing page is to cause your visitors to take definite action. You don’t want your visitors to leave until you get them to do what you want them to do. To click on the buy button, to sign up for an affiliate program, to download a free ebook or software, to sign up for a course, or to subscribe to your free newsletter.

The landing page is a direct marketing copy. Your visitors landed here through a link on your webpage, an ad, a keyword search, pay per click advertising, banner ads, and now you want to convert them.

Here are some tips to design a good landing page…

1.Content Relevance. Your landing page content must be relevant to what people were looking for when they applied the click through. The closer the match is the higher the chances of conversion.

2.Be Concise. Net writing is different than offline writing. Generally, when people surf the Internet they give short attention span to what they are reading. So be concise. When visitors arrive at your landing page they are already predisposed to buy, or they want to get more information of your product or service. By all means give them information but be concise. Don’t use more than three sentences to communicate a point. Think through and concise what you want to say.
Use bulleted list to communicate the benefits of your product or service.

3.Get straight to the point. The landing page is a highly customized marketing copy for your product or service or affiliate product or service. Don’t distract your visitors with advertisements, links to other web pages. Don’t let your visitors wade through a whole bunch of hosh posh before they get to want they want.

4.Focus. Dedicate one landing page to only one product or service. Don’t try to promote multiple products (unless they are of the same product group) or services on one page. Create separate landing pages and campaigns if you have multiple products or services to promote. Focus on one product or one product group on each landing page.

5.Be Factual. Use facts and figures instead of generalities.

General: Prices Reduced
Factual: Prices Reduced by 20 percent

6.Clear Call to Action. Tell your visitors what you want them to do. Buy now, click here to download, fill in name and email address to subscribe or whatever.
Keep all call to action text in bold.

7.Readable Text. Sure, there’s nothing much to look at a page with white background and black fonts. But it’s definitely easier to read the text than a red background with black fonts. Remember, it’s the words that sell. Your website visitors must be able to read your text with ease.

8.Navigation Links. Not at all, if you could help it. The only link you want your website visitors to click on your landing page is the call to action link.

9.Graphics and Images. Keep visual effects to a minimum unless you are running an online audio or video business, real estate business, or selling holiday destinations. Keep in mind that for direct marketing it’s the words that sell. Graphics and images serve only to enhance your text communication, not cloud it.

10.Grammatical and Spelling Errors. Check through your text and correct all grammatical and spelling errors. Otherwise it gives your website visitors a negative impression of you and the company you represent. Once visitors have a negative impression, it becomes difficult to convince them of the product or service that you are promoting. First impression counts a lot.

11.Make it personal. Make it personal to connect with your visitors. Use a lot of You and Your in your text.

12.Make your text clear and simple to understand. Avoid colloquialism or jargons. Use terms and phrases that people readily understood. Use short sentences. Phrase them in the active voice.

A good landing page will always sport good conversion rate as compared to a poor one. Take the time to think and rethink, work and rework your landing pages.

Don’t make the mistake of just optimizing for the search engines. You need to optimize your landing pages for humans too.

Ultimately, it is humans that give you the sales.

RSS Feeds, How to Make Search Engines Fall in Love with your Web Site!

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

This article shows you in a few steps how to implement RSS Feeds on your web page, using these steps the right way will not only improve your web sites content, it will also make the search engines want to come back over and over again! Since the search engines just love fresh content, why not provide it to them?

As most Internet marketers know, writing articles can be very beneficiary to get more visitors to their web site. What not all of you might know, are the benefits of using other peoples articles to improve your search engine ranking. So let’s find out how that works. This article shows you in a few steps how to implement RSS Feeds on your web page, using these steps the right way will not only improve your web sites content, it will also make the search engines want to come back over and over again! Since the search engines just love fresh content, why not provide it to them?

What are RSS Feeds?
RSS according to most people stands for either, Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. It is a part of the internet meta language XML. These days it is used mostly to syndicate articles. When you create RSS Feeds they can be used by other web sites to promote them in their web sites environment.

#1 Reason to use RSS Feeds on your web site.
The best, and by far the best reason to use RSS Feeds on your web site is the fact that it makes the chosen content alive. What I mean is, you can choose several feeds on any subject you need, choose the amount of articles you want to display on your web site, and it gets automatically updated when someone submits a new article.

Different Ways to Implement RSS Feeds.
There are a few options available when you want to implement an RSS Feed on your website. It would either be HTML, Java or php. The only correct way to implement it, as far as I know, is with php. With HTML the content can be read by the search engines but since HTML is static it will not be updated automatically. For sure you don’t want to do this by hand every single day!!Using Java script would mean that the article content does get updated, the only downside with this would be… The search engines won’t be able to read the article content. Now,this wouldn’t do you any good would it? So php it has to be, when putting an RSS Feed on your web site with php, it does get updated every time a new article is submitted and it will be read by the search engines.

THAT’S WHAT I CALL A WIN/WIN SITUATION!!

How to use php on your web site.
Ok, we are clear about the main reason why to use php. At this moment I can almost hear some people say “I have no idea how to do this!!” Relax, neither did I.. You will see it’s really simple, let’s just start at the beginning.

1.
You will need your own domain with a host which does support php. You can check the availability through your control panel provided by your hosting company. Otherwise just ask your hosting provider.

2.
Once you’ve got your web site on a host which supports php, you will have a bit of work to do. The page extension on the page where you want to display the RSS Feeds needs to be changed from: “http://www.mydomain.com/index.html” to “http://www.mydomain.com/index.php”

3.
When you have several pages on your web site and some of them link back to the page you have just changed, make sure that from now on you let them link back to the new index.php instead of index.html.

4.
The hardest part is done!! Now you need a way to create rss feeds. A perfect web site which will write a piece of code for you is http://www.feeddigest.com Here you can just fill in which feed you would like to use and it will be written in php coding within seconds. You can find a great variety of feeds just by performing a search for RSS Feeds on any major search engine.

5.
Copy and paste the piece of code created by www.feeddigest.com wherever you want the articles to appear on to your web page. I would suggest to use a single table just for these articles. If you don’t know how to do thisFree Articles, just check the source of my homepage and search for php. You will find it fitted in a table. After finishing this just go and look at your newly created website.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
You have just improved your web site content in a way which will certainly increase the rotation of visits from any given search engine.

MLM Leads

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

Advertisements for MLM leads seem to be everywhere.  Companies are offering you sure-fire ways to get all the MLM leads you need to generate a money making business.  Yet, how do you know that those MLM leads are quality leads?  If they are not the best quality, do you have what it takes to make those leads work for your business?  If you are concerned about the MLM leads you may get from another company, you might want to consider generating your MLM leads on your own.

Generating your own MLM leads means that you are going to be able to tailor your leads to your specific MLM business.  This means that you will not be paying someone else to generate a list of leads that may be rather generic.  By generating your own MLM leads you are assured that you will be getting a list of quality MLM leads that will probably do your business a lot more good that any company promising you a large list of leads that may not be geared toward your MLM business.  Also, by generating your own list of MLM leads, you know that these are people that want to hear about your type of business, so you can develop your sales pitch to fit your MLM leads’ specific needs.

One of the reasons developing your own list of MLM leads means that you will get better quality leads is because you are getting MLM leads that will be more responsive.  Leads vendors tend to develop generic lists of MLM leads where those people may end up being contacted by dozens of MLM marketers, plus they may not be new leads.  Therefore, if you generate your own MLM leads, you should be able to contact the people right away, meaning your idea is fresh in their minds, which leads to a better response rate.

If you work on tailoring your MLM lead generating page on your website just right, you will get MLM leads in a way that allow you to respond right away while tailoring your sales pitch to what the person is looking for from your business.  Asking the right questions so that you know exactly what people are looking for when you contact your MLM leads is imperative to the success of your business.  If you are considering creating your own MLM leads, make sure you carefully develop your MLM lead page.

So, what do you put on your leads page to allow you to tailor your pitch?  Develop some questions that you would want to ask of your MLM leads before you call them.  Make sure the questions allow you to sort your MLM leads easily, so that you can qualify and disqualify your MLM leads in a simple manner.  Do more than ask for a name or number by adding a comments section.  This way, your MLM leads have a chance to tell you about themselves, which allows you to have a little background when you call them on the phone.

If you are on a budget, both time and moneyArticle Submission, generating your own MLM leads can be a way to save on both.  The small investment of time in developing your MLM leads page will be a time saver when you gather quality leads.  You will save time in sorting your MLM leads while avoiding time-wasting phone calls to bad or generic leads.  You will also be able to avoid paying someone else to gather leads for you that may not be of the same caliber of those you could do yourself.

Stop Working for Google and Start Making Google Work for You

Monday, June 26th, 2006

You need traffic, and Google can give you traffic. There are two ways that Google can send traffic to your site: an expensive way and a free way. I’m going to show you how to make Google give you traffic for free.

You don’t want just any traffic, you want TARGETED traffic. For those not familiar with the terminology, targeted traffic refers to clicks to your website from people who are actually interested in the topic of your site. Your marketing will be much more effective if your clicks are targeted. Here is an example of targeted marketing. Imagine a salesman who is trying to sell dental chairs. He puts together a flyer describing the great benefits of his particular brand of chair, and he decides to give the flyers to people. Which group of people do you think will respond better to his flyer - a group women at a scrapbooking convention, or a group of dentists at an American Dental Association meeting? It’s a no brainer! But better yet, what if he went to a seminar called, “How To Start Your First Dental Practice From Scratch.” These guys are already in the mindset to buy dental chairs. That’s targeted traffic.

When I started my first online business, I went straight to Google Adwords. This is one of the fastest ways to get targeted traffic. Basically, you pay Google to have your ad appear on the right side of the browser. You do this by bidding on keywords. When someone types your keywords into Google, the ad appears. Just go to Google and type anything into the search box. If you look on the right side of the screen, you will see little three-line ads. You probably didn’t even know these were ads. Not only are they ads, but people are paying every time you click on those ads. This is the perfect kind of targeted traffic because people are actually searching for your topic.

So when I started my first Adwords campaign, slowly but surely I developed a targeted marketing campaign that was sending 40 to 50 visitors to my site. These people were ready to buy what I was selling. And they did; but at what a price! I was spending $80 per day in advertising. Way too much! I was only making about $100 in sales per day, so after subtracting advertising costs, my net income was only $20 per day. If I could only get traffic without paying for it, my yearly income would increase from $7,300.00 per year ($20/day x 365 days) to $36,500 per year ($100/day x 365 days). You’re probably wondering how you get free targeted traffic - I’m going to tell you in the next few paragraphs.

When I realized how much I was spending on advertising, I started to research methods of getting free targeted traffic; often referred to as search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. If your site appears on the first page of results for a Google search, then you get free traffic. Not only that, it is targeted traffic because someone has just typed in the phrase or keyword related to your site. So how do you get on the first page? In order to understand this, you need to know a little about how Google ranks their pages. It all comes down to one principle: Google wants to provide high quality search results, so they want to rank relevant links higher than irrelevant links. One of their methods of determining relevancy is to count how many other websites are linked to your site. These are called “back links.” The assumption is that, the more links to your site, the more relevant your site must be.

Armed with this knowledge, I went out and bought some links. You may not know this, but there are actually companies that will allow you to buy a link on their web pages. I bought one link for $20 per month, another for $75 per month. It was much cheaper than Adwords, but it didn’t get me ranked any higher, and it didn’t get me much extra traffic. Two links was just not enough links to rank me higher on Google. What I needed was a way to get LOTS of back links. Then I heard about an intriguing idea: article marketing.

Article marketing is simple. You write an article, you put a link to your website at the bottom of the article (in the author information area). Then you post your article to an “article site.” That’s it. For every article that you post, you get a link to your site. And not only that, it’s a targeted link because the content of your article will be related to the content of your website. It is best to post to as many article sites as you can. Every time Google sees a new targeted link to your site, it will rank you a little higher. There are literally hundreds of article sites and they are all looking for fresh content. Post your article to as many as you can find. Presto! Now you have tons of back links. That is article marketing. It’s that simple. And it’s free.

At first, I manually posted to about seven article sites. This was fairly time consuming. I immediately notice a few extra hits to my site. But in order for article marketing to be cost effective to me, I needed a way to post to hundreds of article sites quickly and easily. Then I heard about article submission software. Basically, this software has a list of article sites in it and it guides you through the process of mass posting your article to multiple sites. So I posted the article to about 200 sites. Bam! Now my site is ranked #2 for a certain keyword combination. This is effective search engine optimization. This is article marketing.

That’s it. Now you know how to make Google work for you. You no longer have to work for Google by paying for Adwords. Plus you can contribute a helpful article to the internet and make tons of money doing it. Put article marketing to work for you today. Write an article, post it, make a link, and make more money!

Give Your Niche Business A Kick-Start With Resell Rights

Monday, June 26th, 2006

If you don’t have a niche product of your own and you don’t have the experience, time or inclination to develop one, Resell Rights is great way to give your niche business a kick-start.

Here’s why…

When you buy the resell rights to a niche product you’re buying a ready-made business, usually complete with a tried and tested sales letter, graphics and in some cases other marketing materials. All you then need is a suitable domain name, hosting and a payment processor and you’re ready to start marketing. Once you start selling, all the profit you make is yours - just as if you were selling your own product.

Resell rights can apply to both physical and digital products, but for the online niche marketer it’s better to stick with digital products which your customer can download immediately. We’re going to limit ourselves to digital products here.

Before you jump in though, there are several categories of resell rights license which you need to understand first :

Resell Rights - Gives you the right to resell the product to your customers but your customers don’t have the right to resell the product on.

Master Rights - You get the right to resell the product “and” sell the Resell Rights license to your customers. Your customers can in turn resell the same product to their customers.

Private Label Rights - This is the grand daddy of all resell rights! Buying Private Label Rights usually gives you the right to change the product in any way you like -put your own name on it, sell resell rights and even master resell rights to others and basically use and treat the product as if it were your own creation.

There are others, but these are the main ones.

Some products come with resell rights included “with” the product price, whilst with others the cost of the resell license is in “addition” to the product price.

When you buy the resell rights separately from the product they will probably be more expensive, but don’t be put off by this because the good news is that the higher price will help limit your competition. This is because the number of other people purchasing the rights will be less than for cheaper licenses.

Something else you should know is, “not all resale licenses are created equal”.

License terms can vary considerably, so it’s essential that you find out exactly what you “are” and “are not” allowed to do with the product before you commit to buying the rights. For instance the rights seller may include restrictions like:

  • Setting the price at which the product must be sold.

  • Prohibit the bundling the product with other products.

  • Prohibit inclusion in membership sites.

  • Prohibit selling the item on Auction sites.

Although these restrictions may seem onerous, generally they are there to protect the integrity and value of the product and your investment as a reseller.

OK, now we’ve covered the basics, let’s move on to where to look for products with resell rights. Here are some suggestions:

  • Search engines - type in the search phrase “resell rights” or “master resell rights” and search through the listings which come up.

  • Resell rights and private label membership sites -these sites will provide you with a steady stream of products for you to market.

  • Ask the author - If you have any digital products that you already own that you’d be interested in marketing, try approaching the owner and see if they’re prepared to sell you rights to market their product.

Marketing resell rights products can be a lucrative string to your niche marketing bow, but choose your products with care. Research the rights offer thoroughly, ask the seller how long the resell rights have been available and how many licenses have been sold already before you leap in. If the offer has been around for a while and a lot of licenses have been sold there’ll be a lot of competition, keep looking - it will be well worth the effort.

MLM Success- MLM Secrets to keeping Your Downline Motivated

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

What are the secrets to keeping your team motivated and constantly Fired up and working? Read on!

Network Marketing Motivation.

MLM Motivation.

Two very misunderstood concepts. The average network marketer today wants to keep their team motivated and FIRED UP! That is normal, as you always want them to be mentally and psychologically elevated for Success in Network Marketing.

But here is the challenge:

INFERNO Secret

You CANNOT motivate anyone to Success.

They must motivate themselves. We waste so much time, even a lot of mlm trainers that teach motivation, trying to get the team and people pumped, juiced, jammed, onFire and motivated. That may happen in the moment from the excitement, but it quickly fades.

Keeping your team motivated and ignited simply is not going to happen unless you follow the Rules of Reality in MLM Motivation. These rules are based in reality, not hype, and honesty, not empty enthusiasm.

Ok…what are the 5 Rules of Reality in Network Marketing Motivation?

1) You MUST INSPIRE, not just Motivate.

The greek definition for INSPIRE is “breath within.” This means that you must create within the person the “breath” of confidence and energy that they can connect to and embrace.

How?

Modeling.

You must be the role model and guide to show your mlm folks that you are worthy of following, and are a leader. Do what you ask them to do, and do it BIG. Show them that you believe in what you are saying, and you do it daily.

And through your actions and words, let them “breathe” into their hearts, and keep them inspired and wanting to follow you into a greater life of Success in MLM.

2) You MUST Praise, not just Promote.

Praise is the secret weapon to motivating people. Many times, we will promote the new folks who went up a pin level, and that is important. But praising someone for a valiant effort will motivate 10 times more.

Why?

People will always appreciate being appreciated for the effort, not just the result. Motivation must have a foundation of praise and recognition. If you have that foundation and praise and recognize your people for their efforts as well as results, you will find that there will be more pin levels to celebrate.

3) You MUST pour into them what has been ignored about them.

Most people never get much of any encouragement. That is our job in MLM. We must encourage those who not only need it, but all who are on your team. There is nothing more motivating than the right word at the right time. A word of belief, or a word of “I am there with you” can go a long way in keeping people onFIRE.

You must pour into your team Big Thinking, Big Belief, Big Vision, Big Future, Big Life. You must constantly say the 4 most powerful words in network marketing: “I believe in you.”

If you pour into the person what has been ignored most of their life, they will follow you wherever you go, for the rest of their life. They will become ‘addicted” to your encouragement and hope that they feel from you.

4) You MUST introduce new Success ideas and Bigger Possibilities into their heart.

New ideas that enlarge a person are worth their weight in gold in MLM. Have you ever seen someone get ignited when they had an “aha” moment? You need to become the “aha master” and continually introduce new Success and possibilities into their life. Most jobs and family cultures are limited and shrink most people’s dreams. Enlarge your teams’ dreams.

The Million Dollar question: WHY ARE YOU THINKING SO SMALL?

Ramp your team up with some Success ideas that will expand and enlarge their brains beyond where they have ever been! Suggest Success books to read and CDs to listen to, and take them to empowerment seminars. Get them around millionaires in your upline if you have any. Get them thinking HUGE.

5) You MUST give personal time and attention to those who deserve it.

Nothing motivates more than personal attention in Network Marketing. Focusing in on one person for a time, maybe over lunch or coffee, and pouring into them individually. Personal encouragement is a great way to give personal attention to folks.

Find out what is meaningful to them. Find out what they TRULY want in life, and listen to why. Discover what is important in life to them and why. Ask what they want to change more than anything about their life. Ask about family, kids, faith, hobbies, interests, etc.

Find out WHO THEY ARE.

Discover what trips their trigger, and get them so excited that they would be 24/7 to get it. That is giving someone personal time and attention. It is worth it’s weight in gold.

You cannot motivate anyone. But you can inspire and pour into them so they will motivate themselves to create an MLM business that could make them wealthy.

Now THAT is true motivation in MLM and Network Marketing!

Blessings…doug

Making Money In Adsense In 90 Days…Not! Pt. 1

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

Contrary to popular belief, a great majority of Adsense websites don’t make a lot of money, even though much time and effort goes in to building niche sites, finding traffic for them, and earnest striving to supply great content.

The sad truth is, according to some accounts, 1 in 1300 sites geared toward Adsense will actually make any money.

But what makes those money-making Adsense sites different from the others, and what make those sites earn up to 200-500% more than other Adsense sites on average?

We’ll take a elementary beginners’ look at some of the factors that make good Adsense sites stand out from bad ones. We’ll start from the beginning - the idea process for a site.

You have an idea for a site. It’s your passion. It’s your love. But, the question lingers in the back of your mind…

“Can I make money with this idea?”

The answer is yes, you probably can. But before you do, the stars have to be aligned, sort to speak. Many before you have rushed in blind with a idea, and a scrap of a plan, only to lose valuable time and money, when with a little patience and research, they could have done much better.

It’s not enough to have a passion or love of a topic. In fact, many site owners that make money from Adsense build sites that make money with only a small interest in the actual niche topic itself.

In short, you need a combination of things to make a great niche site. We’ll talk about one of them here.

Timing.

As in any business or market, timing is everything.

If you find an Adsense niche market, you need to know one thing before you start: is it a niche that has already run its course?

Or is it a niche that is still not hot enough to parlay on?

Internet marketers say that for a niche to be legitimate, it needs to have at least 25,000 search engine searches attributed to it monthly. Anything less is a waste of time and energy, no matter how much an ad pays per click.

A great research tool is a free Google Top 500 keyword list, generated every two weeks from Axalda.info. It’s available here: http://www.axalda.info/topkeywords.html.

To determine correct timing, take a while, and look at the front page content of the first 20 sites that come up in Google’s search. Are the sites the same, or close to being the same?

If you find that most of them are saying the same thing, and you find at least a 10 to 30 sites with that same type of content, you have found, in all probability, an oversaturated market.

But some niches have sub niches which are used by different sites, and finding a sub niche can make your site stand out in the crowd. A wedding site, for instance, could have tips on what to wear, a bulletin board, registry links, wedding vows, etc. Some of these sites could concentrate of one more than the other, yet still pull in the correct Adsense niche ads, and traffic because of how they design, word and place their content.

Next time, I’ll give you some quick tips on how to deal with the competion, including how to deal with competition in your niche market.

Till then, keep building!
